Junior Teacher/BSLA Structured Literacy Facilitator

Hello everyone,
This year I have taken on the roles of part time teacher in Room 3 and Structured Literacy Facilitator for our Tier 2 students.

I have lived and worked in South Taranaki for nearly 30 years and have had the good fortune to be part of Manaia School since 2022. Helping students who struggle with literacy is a passion which led to my training and working as a Reading Recovery Teacher since 2017.

Unsurprisingly I enjoy reading, listening to audio books and watching movies in my free time. I prefer science fiction, mysteries and suspense, but very much dislike horror and romantic comedies. I confess a weakness for shoes, clothes and cats. As my family lives in South Africa I also spend a lot of time online. For the rest, I prefer quiet, peaceful spaces.
