Deputy Principal / Senior Teacher / Within School Teacher for South Taranaki Kahui Ako

Kia ora everyone,

Welcome back to 2023. I’m Bronwyn and I am the new Deputy Principal for Manaia School. I have been part of the Manaia School whānau since 2008 firstly as a parent, then as a learning assistant and with wonderful support from the school became a teacher in 2012. Since then I have enjoyed working with mixed levels throughout the school. This year I have also taken on the role of Deputy Principal. I believe in building a strong relationship with all students. This is key to them reaching their full potential.

My partner Mark Gallie’s family has a long history with Manaia School. Five generations of the Gallie/McDonald family have been taught at Manaia School, so as a family we are very passionate about the school and surrounding area.

I was born in Invercargill, and affiliate with Otakou Marae in Dunedin, but spent most of my childhood in Christchurch. I have lived in South Taranaki for the last 28years. Most of that time has been spent in Manaia.
